Dubai Autodrome unveils MotoDrome with tracks for all rider levels
New racing series and expansions planned in phased rollout
DUBAI – Dubai’s motorsport landscape is expanding with the launch of MotoDrome, a purpose-built off-road destination at Dubai Autodrome.
Developed as part of the venue’s Hill Circuit, the new facility brings together multiple riding disciplines within a single structured environment. The initiative reflects growing demand for accessible and diverse off-road experiences across the UAE.
Designed to cater to a wide range of riders, MotoDrome introduces a new layer to the Autodrome’s year-round offering. From first-time participants to experienced enthusiasts, the facility aims to deliver a controlled and progressive riding ecosystem while maintaining the venue’s established motorsport standards.
Track design
At the centre of MotoDrome is a 1.8-kilometre motocross track built to professional specifications. This is complemented by a 1.2-kilometre flow track, tailored for smaller bikes and entry-level riders. The dual-track system is structured across three progressive riding levels, allowing participants to develop skills and confidence over time.
The use of elevation changes across the circuit adds a dynamic element to the riding experience, distinguishing it from conventional flat-track layouts. The broader facility accommodates a variety of disciplines, including quads, cross cars, 4x4 activations and electric dirt bikes, aligning with shifting preferences in off-road motorsport.
Structured access
Operations at MotoDrome will follow a segmented approach, with sessions organised by rider level and vehicle type. Dedicated time slots will be allocated for bikes, quads, electric bikes and younger riders, ensuring a controlled and consistent experience across all categories.
All activities will adhere to the same health, safety and environmental standards associated with Dubai Autodrome. The structured format is intended to balance accessibility with performance-focused riding, maintaining quality across both recreational and competitive use.
Faisal Al Sahlawi, General Manager of Dubai Autodrome, described the launch as a key development in the venue’s growth. He noted that MotoDrome brings multiple off-road experiences into a single environment while maintaining established benchmarks for safety and quality.
Future plans
MotoDrome will open to the public from launch, initially focusing on training programmes and open track days. Plans are in place to introduce a summer night racing series, featuring multiple rounds across bike, e-bike and quad categories. The series is expected to establish a new competitive platform for off-road motorsport in the UAE.
Further expansion phases will include the addition of a dedicated dirt go-kart track, extending the facility’s appeal to a wider audience. Phase one of MotoDrome is scheduled for completion by the end of May, marking the beginning of a broader development strategy.
The launch forms part of Dubai Autodrome’s ongoing evolution beyond traditional circuit racing. Alongside established events such as the Michelin 24H Dubai and the Asian Le Mans Series, the venue continues to diversify its portfolio, integrating community-focused experiences with international motorsport competitions.
